these boots are made for walking

this is a video of mckinzie's new cowboy boots. she had a hard time figuring out how to walk in them at first. :) it was quite comical. please excuse the shaky camera as her dad did not have a steady hand.

here is kinzie testing out our rock band microphone. unfortunately i ran out of space before she started clapping for herself. Today has been quite the discovery for mom and dad. We've discovered that she knows how to do the actions to the song "head and shoulders knees and toes" and also knows how to do "ring around the rosey"which she will do all day if we let her.

McKinzie has also discovered the dreaded word, "no" Everything we ask her is "No" but by the end of the day we are happy to say she is also saying "Yes" now. :) Now if only she will say yes all the time instead of no.

More apple picking

Here are some pictures from our apple picking adventures this weekend with Kinzie's buddy Riley. We are blessed that McKinzie has 2 really good friends around her age that we can do things with. We got to go apple picking with Michael last week and with Riley this weekend. It's been really nice to hang out with both families lately!

Kinzie and Michael are becoming good friends these days... its been fun to see them run around together and interact. They definitely keep their moms busy! But it's always fun :) Here are some pictures from our playdate at the park today.

McKinzie's Buddy

This is McKinzie's new buddy Michael. Michael and his family moved in next door from Michigan. McKinzie and Michael have become quite the friends this summer. We have gone swimming, played outside a lot and went to story time at Barnes and Noble together. It has been wonderful having another child Kinzie's age in the neighborhood (and nice to have another mom for me to talk to too!) McKinzie was rather territorial at first, not sure about sharing.. but she has adjusted well. :)
