YA VIDEOS!!

So Blogger now has an upload video feature (YA!) so I can put up some of the cute little videos of McKinzie!! This one is a couple weeks old but it is of McKinzie laughing at Jason. McKinzie's new thing the last couple days is talking. In the evenings, she will start talking and blab for about 20 minutes. We will take a video of that and post it tomorrow!! It's HILAROUS... ok maybe just to me but oh well.

So what else is new with us.... not much. Jason's sister, Jodi is here now and visiting for the week (and also babysitting McKinzie this week! ) McKinzie and I have been enjoying our last few days together before I begin student teaching. I am pretty much dreading tomorrow morning. I know McKinzie will be in good hands but it's still hard leaving my little girl. I am afraid I am going to miss her growing up but I know that I need to get my student teaching done. Hopefully it will only be 12 weeks and then I can try to stay home with her again and work nights or something. Thankfully, Jason's sister is watching McKinzie this week and my mom is watching her next week, so that will give me a chance to ease in to going to work and sending McKinzie to daycare. We visited her day care Friday and we totally love the lady that is going to be watching her but it's still not the same as staying home or leaving her with family. McKinzie seemed to like playing there and really liked watching the older kids play. It won't be long before she's chasing the big kids around. Anyway... say a pray for me in the morning as I leave McKinzie for my first day back to school.

McKinzie was such a good girl giving lots of smiles. :) Portrait Innovations also did an awesome job taking the pics! I highly recommend them!!! (Thanks to Amy S. for the gift certificate to there!! We wouldn't have known about it w/o her)

Iowa State Fair

McKinzie made her first trip the Iowa State Fair yesterday. She did very well for 6 hours at the fair. I think she enjoyed checking out all the crazy people and smelling the yummy, unhealthy food. Here are some pictures from our adventure.

4 Months Old

McKinzie had her 4 month check up today. It went pretty well. The dr. thinks McKinzie is teething already since everything she gets her hands on goes straight to the mouth and she is always chewing on something... even mom's hands! She could feel the bumps for her teeth but said it'll be probably another month before they push through. So until then, she might have a mild fever (which she already does) and be a little more fussy. Her are her measurements from today.

Weight: 16 lbs. 2 oz- 95th percentile (not 95+ this time!)
Height: 26 inches- 95th percentile
Head: I don't remember... it was just 91%

She's growing so fast!!

Family Fun

We got to spend some time together as a family this weekend since we have all been very busy this summer. It was nice to relax and just hang out together. We went to the horse races, but probably spent more time just playing with McKinzie. Here are some pictures of our night. McKinzie goes for her 4 month check up (and shots... boo) tomorrow. So I will update on her weight and stuff tomorrow! Enjoy the pictures.

First Foods

McKinzie got her first taste of cereal this week!! First try, she wasn't so sure about the whole thing. Second time, we made it a little thinner and she seemed to like it more. Here are some pictures of her first experience with food!

New Toy

McKinzie got a new toy (an excersaucer) this past weekend so I thought I'd post some pictures of her checking it out. She loves it. She thinks she is such a big girl in her new toy.

Just wanted to let everyone know, we are all ok. My cell phone is broken, but my mom said she has had calls wanting to make sure we were not on the bridge. Praise God we are safe, but life is so fragile, you never know what can happen. We traveled that bridge as recently as Sunday afternoon. My heart and prayeres goes out to the victims.
