Vote for McKinzie!

(So this is an old photo.. but I just love it so I posted it again!)

So I never thought I would take McKinzie to a beautiful baby contest.... but I did last weekend at Babies 'R Us. She had just woke up when they took her picture so she didn't smile, :( but you can still vote for her!!! The baby with the most votes wins from Minneapolis will go on to the finals to compete against the other finalists (they will just use the same picture.. so no more photo shoots.) From there, you click on Baby You're a Star in the bottom right hand corner. Then click on View Photos at the top and click on Minneapolis. McKinzie is on page 14 and it says 2 months, Eden Prairie, MN under her picture. She is wearing a pink shirt and has a deer in the headlights look!!Or you can also search in the upper right hand corner, her id is MSP_19. If you have your own baby, you can enter him/her online as well by submitting a picture.

2 month check up

So I am a little late posting about her 2 month check up since it was last week and she's almost 3 months old.... but our internet has been up and down. The doctor thought McKinzie looked great and was impressed that she sleeps 8-9 hours a night!! (yay for mom and dad!) He was a little concerned that she might have a bladder infection because she runs a mild temperature (100.6) every now and then so if it because a consistent fever then she has to be seen... but so far so good. McKinzie had an awesome nurse that made her shots go VERY quickly (4 shots in 15 seconds... that's pretty darn good!!) She screamed for those few seconds but then we fed her and she was fine... even smiling again!!! Here are her measurements:

Weight: 14 lbs. 0 oz. -95th percentile

Length: 23 1/2 inches 90th percentile (not stretched out, Mom and Dad measured 24 1/2 at home)

Head Circumference: 16 cm- 95th percentile

Precious Hands and Feet

McKinzie was curled up so preciously on my lap yesterday that I couldn't resist taking these pictures!! She just looked so sweet and her feet were all curled up and crossed. So maybe I am a little crazy... but what can I say?? I love her! We go for her 2 month check-up (2 weeks late) tomorrow and she has to get her first vaccinations. :(

McKinzie flies like a champ. She was very good on our flights down to South Carolina to visit Grandpa and Grandma Smith. She slept almost the entire way. Daddy's plane to Reno left an hour after ours to he got to sit and play with Kinzie before we left. He had her showing off big smiles! We can't wait to see him when we get home Monday!
