dress up/boredom

Here are some pictures of McKinzie from today. I was getting rather bored and wishing spring were here, so I decided to try on some of McKinzie's spring dresses. The first dress she has on (a white and pink plaid dress) is a special dress. This is a dress that my Grandma Cookie made for me when I was a little girl. This would be the same Grandma that McKinzie is name after, Ruth Cook. The dress was a little short on my tall girl but it still looked cute... anyway.. enjoy! :)

Easter

Here are our pictures from Easter. McKinzie actually didn't cry wearing her dress this time!! That's all I have for now because she's sitting at my feet screaming for attention...

California, pt. 3

Here is part 3 of our California pictures. The first section of pictures is from Six Flags, Magic Mountain. I was surprised that McKinzie was able to ride some of the rides and she loved every minute of the rides. She is soo funny. She gets soo excited when we would go on a ride. The second part of the slide shows pictures from her first trip to the beach. On Thursday, we went to Venice Beach and walked the boardwalk (strange people there!), then we drove up to Malibu to have family pictures taken. A friend of Nick's is a photographer and took family pictures. McKinzie was hilarious, so I can't wait to see how they turned out. I will post some of those when we get them. After Malibu, we drove back to the Santa Monica pier and hung out awhile. The weather was perfect the whole time we were in California. Unfortunately, we had to come home to a new blanket of snow. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring in Minnesota. I think that it comes in June??? Ahh.. I miss warm weather. I will post pictures from Easter tomorrow... or the next day.

California, pt. 2

Here are pictures part 2. These pictures are from the LA Zoo, Ventura and one picture of the Ellen sign. On Monday, Jason and I took McKinzie to the LA zoo because everyone else had the flu. It was ok, but a lot of the animals were gone or in hiding and the zoo is very spread out. My mom and dad took McKinzie to the Harbor in Ventura on Tuesday while Alyssa and I were at the Ellen Show and Jason golfed. Ventura looks beautiful from the pictures I've seen. I will post the rest of the pictures here in a few minutes.

She had been crying and crying cause she didn't feel good, she laid on Jason like that and I was sitting on the ottoman with Kinzie's head on my lap. It was so sweet but we felt bad cause she didn't feel good.

For those of you who haven't heard (and to update those who have), McKinzie has been fairly sick with the flu for almost a week now. Last Thursday night in the middle of the night, McKinzie woke up vomiting. She then refused to eat or drink for 2 or 3 days. Somehow Jason and I managed to keep her hydrated between the vomiting and diarrhea. At first the doctors thought she was having an allergic reaction to amoxcillin, which she was on for ear infection. Then after benadryl and switching medicines, her rash went away but the diarrhea and vomiting continued. She hasn't vomited since Sunday, but still has 7-10 diarrhea diapers a day. (I know TMI!!) Pray that she'll start feeling better soon. There are times when she just curls up and cries because her tummy hurts so bad. The doctor said if she is still sick Friday they might test her stools (gross). We are also scheduled to leave for California for vacation and to see my brother so pray that she feels better soon!! Here are some pictures of McKinzie from this past week. On Thursday, McKinzie's great-grandma Passick was here with Aunt Joyce and Jamie, Jamie Lynn and Gage to watch Jen's softball games. So McKinzie and I joined them for dinner at the rainforest cafe and to watch jen's games.
